Customer Rating: Summary: A magic show, if you don't mind the commercials!!! Comment: From the Magic tour, how could this concert go wrong?? With all the stock footage and faded soundtrack in between. I'm glad there's only four members in Queen so we didn't have to go through that FIVE TIMES!!!
I await the DVD release, as they are letting the whole show run. This show was obviously one of the pinnacles in Queen's career, and should be treated as such. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Concert film and Good Documentary Comment: This is a very Good QUEEN film, with no interference from the DORO editing team. The track list may be similar to other concerts on the same tour, but the additions are sufficient to be different and enjoyable.
The documentary inserts are done in a rare style... they do not interfere with the flow of the concert, and as each member of the band is given time in the concert spotlight, we see some documentary footage of the band member in Budapest. And the traditional song that Freddie performs is well received by the crowd. The footage of Freddie travelling up river, past the regal mansions is both funny, and insightful; plus the preparation that Freddy does for the concert is shown in part, and is what seems to be a rare insight into the way Freddy works.
We even get to see a little bit of the seemingly very shy John Deacon ... something only the director of this film has thought to do ( as far as I am aware).
This is not only a Good concert film, but a masterful documentary, handled with the panache that few directors in this genre can do. A pleasure to watch and to listen to. I only hope that Hollywood records will issue this in DVD format under the guidance of Brian May and Roger Taylor. Customer Rating: Summary: A must-have for Queen fans. Comment: This a show from the 1986 Magic Tour of Europe. Very similar setlist to the Live at Wembley show. Though, here you can find tracks never *seen* before. If features some movie sequences of all four members. Great production, as it is usual with Queen. Customer Rating: Summary: very good, but sometimes boring Comment: A Queen fan from Sykkylven, Norway. This video contains a lot of their hits through the 70. Im dont like the part were Brian May plays a guitar solo, very boring. I also hate the few scenes were the drummer plays solo. A must for a Queen fan.
